Henritze Ventures LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("Givo," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Givo mobile application and related websites (collectively, the "Service"), how we use and share that information, and the choices and rights available to you. This Policy is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account & Profile Information. When you create a Givo account, we collect your email address, name, and any profile details you choose to provide, such as your handicap, home course, playing preferences, or profile photo.
- Location & GPS Data. To power distance measurements, club recommendations, and wind and elevation adjustments, the App collects precise location (GPS) data while you are actively using it during a round. You can control location permissions at any time through your device settings, though doing so will limit or disable core features of the App.
- Round & Performance Data. We collect data generated as you play, including shot distances, club selection, scores, round history, and other statistics you record or that the App detects.
- Voice Data. If you use AI voice caddie features, audio input or output may be processed to deliver spoken recommendations. Voice audio is processed only as necessary to provide the feature and is not used for advertising purposes.
- Payment Information. If you subscribe to Givo Pro or Givo Elite, your payment is processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or a third-party payment processor. Givo does not directly collect or store your full payment card details.
- Device & Usage Data. We automatically collect certain technical information, such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and general usage analytics, to help us maintain and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating AI-powered club and course recommendations;
- personalize your experience based on your round history, tendencies, and preferences;
- process subscription payments and manage your account;
- improve and train the models and features that power the Service, using aggregated and/or de-identified data wherever feasible;
- communicate with you about your account, provide customer support, and respond to inquiries;
- send product updates or promotional communications, where you have not opted out of receiving them; and
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and only to the extent necessary to perform their function. They include:
- Supabase. We use Supabase to host our application database, manage user authentication, and store account, round, and profile data.
- Anthropic API (Claude). We use Anthropic's Claude models to power AI-generated club recommendations, natural-language caddie responses, and related AI features. Relevant round, shot, and course context is sent to Anthropic's API to generate these recommendations.
- ElevenLabs. We use ElevenLabs' voice synthesis technology to generate the spoken audio used by our AI voice caddie feature.
- iGolf. We use iGolf's golf course mapping data, including hole layouts, yardages, and course elevation data, to power on-course GPS features and distance calculations.
We also use standard infrastructure providers (such as cloud hosting and analytics providers) to operate the Service. Each provider is contractually restricted from using your information for purposes other than providing services to Givo, and each maintains its own security and privacy practices.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and round data for as long as your account remains active, so that we can provide the Service and maintain your round history. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for a longer period to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations, or to resolve disputes. Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and AI model improvement.
5. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and routine security reviews of our systems and service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your personal information or your account;
- export your round and profile data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent to location or voice data collection by adjusting your device or in-app permissions; and
- opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link or your in-app notification settings.
Residents of certain U.S. states, including Tennessee (under the Tennessee Information Protection Act) and California (under the CCPA/CPRA), and residents of the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (under the GDPR), may have additional statutory rights regarding their personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9 below. We will verify your request and respond within the time period required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, technical, or business reasons. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
